Mindfulness Series

Making mindful art invites meaning into our lives as well as joy and creativity. Done in this way, participants not only connect with themselves but with others in the community. All of these activities are designed to bring the qualities of calm, light heartedness, and upliftment. Each project in this series brings soothing energy to the busy mind and body and elicits feel-good hormones that bring positive energy forward.

Malas can be worn as jewelry or used in meditation. Participants will make beautiful, wearable art, infused with personal intention, hopes, and dreams and may also support them in a meditation practice. Thursday, January 19, 2023, 5:00 – 7:00pm.

Island Dream Catchers

Design beautiful dream catchers using found objects from nature or with other materials that appeal to your creative side. Participants will learn how to make an island (or other theme) dream catcher as a symbol of protection and hope. A beautiful piece of home art that invites good energy into the home, work or personal space. Thursday, February 23, 2023, 5:00 – 7:00pm.

Participants will learn to make a colorful mandala that holds a specific intention, wish or dream they hope to manifest. Thursday, March 16th, 2023, 5:00 – 7:00pm.
